Spray Foam For Agricultural Insulation

Agricultural insulation is important to help protect valuable assets such as livestock and feeds from degradation, condenstion and thermal imbalance. Enverge Spray Foam Insulation offers a wide variety of solutions to help protect agricultural buildings, improve livestock yields, protect stock and provide consistent temperatures year round. From agricultural barns and chicken sheds to grain stores and silos, our range of solutions cover every requirement.

Enverge Spray Foam Agricultural Insulation Benefits

Agricultural Insulation

Corrugated asbestos, cement-fibre and metal roofs and walls are a common theme in agricultural buildings. Our Enverge Spray Foam range has been carefully curated to provide robust insulation and anti-condensation systems that protect buiolding fabrics and extend their lifespan. From our Enverge ToughFoam anti-peck chicken shed insulation to Nexseal LE Closed Cell, our product range is used to provide protection and durability to any agricultural insulation project. Unlike pre-manufactured insulation materials that are difficult to install and often lack performance and durability, Enverge Spray Foams are applied directly to the substrate to follow corrugated profiles and provide seamless, monolithic and thermal efficiency. When using Enverge Spray Foam Insulation, you can be assured that every project will be completed quickly, efficiently and with minimal downtime for your busy agricultural business.

Agricultural Insulation Solutions

Why insulate an agricultural building? The results speak for themselves with Enverge Spray Foam Insulation helping to reduce surface condensation, increase comfort for livestock, protect stock and machinery and offering structural integrity and durability to the substrate onto which it is installed. Additionally, with many agricultural businesses stuck with corrugated asbestos roofs, our spray foam systems can help to provide long-term durability through asbestos encapsulation. ThermoFoam are an experienced installer of agricultural insulation solutions with a network of experienced installers located throughout the whole of the UK. Generally, Enverge Nexseal LE Closed Cell spray foam insulation is the product of choice in agricultural settings thanks to its high-density formulation and strong adhesion to the substrate. Once installed, Enverge Spray Foam will help to strengthen roof or wall sheets and their associated fixings to reduce the potential for leaks and damage in the future.

FAQs

Is Spray Foam Insulation Suitable For Chicken Sheds?

We developed a range of Enverge ToughFoam Closed Cell for the purpose of providing chicken shed insulation. Chickens tend to peck at surfaces and this can cause damage to insulation, however, with our 10lb ToughFoam, we’d challenge any chicken to get their beak into it! If you are considering insulating the walls of a chicken shed, our peck-proof ToughFoam is used extensively to protect the primary substrate from damage.

Will Nexseal LE Closed Cell stop roof leaks?

As with any roof leak, the source of the problem is best addressed before insulation is applied to the underside of the substrate. Gaping holes and structural damage may require remedial action prior to the use of spray foam insulation. Once installed, the high-density nature of Nexseal LE Closed Cell ensures that the roof is structurally sound and with increased racking strength to help mitigate future weathering.

Does Enverge Spray Foam Solve Condensation?

When September arrives and the temperature starts to fall, we tend to receive an uplift in enquiries for anti-condensation insulation. As agricultural businesses start to panic that livestock and animal feeds will become damaged by damp and condensation, we travel the length and breadth of the UK to provide our anti-condensation solutions. Testament to the performance of Enverge Nexseal LE, once installed we never receive calls from these customers again…..unless they have another building that needs treatment!

How Long Does An Install Take?

We understand that most agricultural businesses work in a time critical manner with buildings requiring constant access. During the installation, there will be some disruption but the good news is that most agricultural barns and structures can be insulated to airtight standards in as little as a day. Unless there’s thousands of square metres to insulate, the average project takes just 2-3 days and once complete, you can mobilise back into the building almost right away.

Why Can’t I Just Use Pre-Manufactured Insulation Materials?

You certainly can use pre-manufactured insulation materials for your agricultural insulation project but you’ll find that it is difficult to fit the insulation without additional fixings, it will take ages to install and there will be no structural support of the substrate. Over time, due to gravitational pull, pre-manufactured materials tend to fail, slip and degrade which means you’ll be spending good money after bad. Spray Foam insulation is often comparable on price but provides the best long-term durability without competition. We recommend doing it once and doing it right!

Does It Come With A Warranty?

Yes. All Enverge Spray Foam Installations attract a 25-Year Product Warranty and at least a 5-Year Workmanship Warranty. Spray foam insulation is one of the most durable insulation materials available in the UK, and it won’t shrink or degrade like some other pre-manufactured insulation materials. It requires no ongoing operational or maintenance input and will remain in place as a passive insulation solution that becomes a part of the building envelope.
