What we check before quoting

Existing leaks are identified first, because spraying the underside of a roof does not make it watertight; rainwater ingress, condensation and structural defects have to be told apart before a treatment is chosen. Internal humidity and building use are recorded too, since they drive condensation as much as the roof does. On asbestos-cement sheeting, encapsulation may be an option — the material remains in place and still needs managing.

The system we specify

Most commercial work in Yorkshire & the North East is closed-cell Nexseal LE, sprayed in situ so it bonds to the deck and holds the surface above dew point — which is what stops the drip. It is rigid, adds stiffness to thin sheeting and carries a 25-year manufacturer-backed product warranty. Open-cell Sucraseal is specified where vapour needs to move more freely and the building can accommodate it. Thickness follows the outcome you need, not a standard figure, and it is written into the specification at survey rather than decided on the day. How the installation runs

Installations are programmed around how the building is used, so trading or production continues wherever it can. Protection goes up first, rooflights and services are masked, then the foam is applied in passes and checked against the specified thickness before anything is taken down.
